Every tradition that took the night sky seriously eventually arrived at the same recognition: the regularities are not accidental, and they are not separate from the regularities below. The cycles of the planets and the cycles of the seasons, the menstrual cycle and the lunar month, the heartbeat and the orbital period — these are not metaphorical resemblances. Greek: harmony of the spheres
