The Egyptian Heart

In Egyptian cosmology, the heart (ib) is not the seat of emotion as in the modern sentimental reading. It is the organ of judgement, the device by which one's existence is weighed against Maat — cosmic order, frequency-truth, the resonant baseline of right relationship.
