The internet is splitting into two layers: a public layer that is broad, fast, algorithm-friendly, and a private layer of small intentional spaces. Micro-communities have become the default.

The processing is bifurcated: marketers read this as a "Reddit explosion" and "nostalgia-driven storytelling." Cultural critics read it as a distress signal — exhaustion with performative identity. Both readings are correct, and the gap between them is where the next economy will form.
