SEED — Dark Matter as First Mover: The Unseen Acts Before the Visible

THE QUESTION

The standard story of cosmic structure puts the visible first: stars form, stars cluster, gravity assembles galaxies, and dark matter is the silent scaffolding on which the luminous drama plays out — present but passive, a background. The dark-architecture synthesis ([[jewel-and-dark-earth]]) surfaced a model that reverses this, and the harvest pulled it out: the self-interacting-dark-matter (SIDM) seed scenario, in which dark matter's own self-collapse seeded the first supermassive black holes before stellar physics could operate — making the invisible the first mover of cosmic structure, not its passive scaffold. The unseen acts first; the visible follows. What is the metaphysical corollary of a cosmos where the dark moves before the light?

THE THREADS

The reversal: dark matter as agent, not scaffold. The conventional picture is luminocentric — the visible (stars, gas, light) is where the action is, and dark matter is the inert gravitational backdrop that merely shapes where the visible action happens.
